ACCOMMODATION
by day, the De Luxe and Luxury Suites offer generous lounge chairs allowing you to view Africa whilst relaxing in your room. At night the suites are converted into subtly lit bedrooms by a butler.
ROOMS
all have a writing desk next to the window, individually controlled air conditioning, entertainment centre with a choice of movie and radio channels, telephone, room safe, hairdryer, laundry service and personal butler service. Smoking is permitted in designated suites.
The De Luxe suites have a choice of a double or twin beds with ensuite shower or bath. Luxury suites have a choice of a double or twin beds with ensuite bath, hifi, audio CD and VHS video systems, vanity table with mirror.
TRAIN FACILITIES
- 42 seat Dining Car offering a la carte and vegetarian South African cuisine in two sittings. Breakfast (casual), lunch (casual elegant dress), dinner (formal dress).
- Lounge Car - meeting place for pre-lunch and pre-dinner aperatifs, high tea, after dinner coffee and liqueurs.
- Club Car for smokers with card tables, small library, bar, where you can watch a short film about the area the train is passing through.
- On board entertainment system
- Souvenir/jewellery shop
- Butler on call to provide snacks and beverages in your suite on request, limited on board laundry and valet service.
- Two engineers on board the train are happy to share their knowledge with enthusiasts.
