ACCOMMODATION   is provided in 8 spacious cottages. The Lodge, near Rorke's Drift, is set on a hillside above the Buffalo River Gorge, approximately three and a half hours drive from Durban or five hours drive from Johannesburg.

ROOMS   are in twin ensuite cottages each with a private verandah with views over the plains flanking the Buffalo River Gorge.

LODGE FACILITIES   include lounge, dining room decorated with Zulu war memorabilia where home and modern fusion cuisine is served, garden, swimming pool.

SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES   (prices available on request)

• Fly fishing (when guide is available)
• Horse riding
• Walks - it is safe to walk on the property. Zulu guides are available if you wih to walk longer distances.
• Tours of the battlefields including:
  • Isandlwana (0730-1300 hours)
  • Rorke's Drift (1445-2000 hours in winter, 1515-2000 hours in summer)
  • Fugitives Drift
  • Mangeni Falls (minimum 4 persons)
  • Masondo (available either on horseback or being drive by Land Rover)

Prices are per room per night, in £ sterling including accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, taxes and tourism levy.

Children under 12 years £TBA. Please note children under 12 years are not allowed on tours offered by the Lodge and are not allowed in the dining room. Separate meal times may be arranged at the convenience of child and parent. Child minding services are available whilst parents are on tours and in evening whilst parents are dining.

Fugitives Drift Lodge check in after 1200 hours on day of arrival.
Check out is 1000 hours on day of departure. Late departure times can be arranged subject to availability of rooms.
